January 31st is the new zero-hour here at Scally Central, as we countdown to the best of your photos, letters and forum posts from the past year.

The rules are simple:
All photos received between 28th October and 31st January are automatically entered into the competition. The picture which we judge to be the best wins and is placed on the front page until we decide to remove it.

Photos must be genuine - you should include the location of the picture and the approximate date it was taken.

Entrants that we like will be displayed in a special Showdown gallery, so your effort will not go unrewarded.
